Gentle gripping without leaving marks: The new SKT series is specially tailored to the high demands of the plastics industry.
Gentle gripping without leaving marks: The new SKT series is specially tailored to the high demands of the plastics industry. The patented flock coating of the contact surfaces facilitates the quick depositing of small parts.
Small, hot plastic parts easily "stick" to the vacuum cup when removed from the injection moulding machine. This is due to the high static friction of conventional vacuum cups. FIPA vacuum cups of the SKT series prevent small parts from sticking by means of a thin flocking of the sealing lip made of polyamide (PA6.6 black). This contact surface has a low static friction. Even small, lightweight plastic parts, such as plastic lenses, can thus be placed safely and precisely. The body of the vacuum cups is made of the proven material Thermalon®. This material mixture scores top marks with a hardness of 60° Shore A and a temperature-resistance of up to 160 °C. The vacuum cups are free of silicone and other paint-wetting-impairment substances (PWIS) and connected by means of plug nipple.
FIPA offers the bellows vacuum cups with 1.5 folds (SKT-B1) in diameters 5 to 33 mm and with 2.5 folds (SKT-B2) in diameters 9 to 42 mm. The bellows compensate for height differences and adapt perfectly to curved or uneven product surfaces.
